Ger, Laney, and Jenny, three teens who have never met, live a terrifying existence after all the adults suddenly die. Each has their own story.
When an unknown force causes everyone over the age of 17 to die, psychotic teenager, Roc, moves swiftly to take over a secluded mountain town. He rules with absolute fear. And God help those who don’t join him. Roc develops a cruel fixation for Jenny, the girlfriend of his dead brother. But all she can think of is the family and boyfriend she lost. She would rather be dead than go on living without them, and she would definitely rather be dead than to be with creepy Roc. When she realizes that she has something the other kids don’t have, she knows she may be the town’s only hope. She must choose between ending her pain, or saving the survivors – before there are none left. Ger, having already experienced the tragedy of losing both his mother and younger brother to a car accident that he thinks was his fault, doesn't know how to cope with this sudden, grand scale disaster. Not a stranger to being on his own, Ger meets up with other orphaned kids, and discovers that he has something to offer. If only he learns to trust himself. Laney, an only child and the lone pawn in her parents’ battle-zone divorce, is on the verge of suicide when the disaster strikes. Lonely and lost before the event, Laney discovers love soon after. It is unlike anything she would have ever imagined for herself and she is unique in thinking she is better off now than she was before “the Day of Death”. But this selfish pattern of thought may cause her to lose what she has gained and throw her right back into a world of isolation. As Roc's evil begins to grow, the three lives of Ger, Laney and Jenny collide and they must find a way to end his reign of terror |
